In a historic encounter of musical innovators in the Afro Latin, Brazilian, and Jazz traditions, Belongó (formerly Afro Latin Jazz Alliance) and The Town Hall present an evening of musical inspiration and genre-bending collaboration. Brazilian instrumentalists Yamandu Costa and Hamilton de Holanda will join the stage with Arturo O’Farrill and his mighty Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra to push the boundaries of their respective traditions and create a thrilling mix of Latin Jazz, chorinho, samba, and other musics of Latin America and the African Diaspora.  These three Grammy-winning giants—known as artists, composers, and improvisers—perform together for the first time on the legendary stage of The Town Hall in an evening not to be missed.The show will feature compositions from each principal artist, in some cases with new arrangements for O’Farrill’s 18-piece big band.
