Music on the Inside Salon Featuring Ron CarterSunday, October 27th4:00pm to 6:30pm

Jazz lovers! Join us to help kick off the MOTI Salon Season with Ron Carter, one of the great living legends in jazz. At this up-close event,  Mr. Carter and friends will regale us with their music and inspire us to join the wellspring of musicians and friends supporting Music on the Inside.   Please join us for an intimate afternoon of music, wine and refreshments in the elegant living room of a New York patron of the arts.  RON CARTER is among the most original, prolific and influential bassists in jazz history, with more than 2,200 albums to his credit, an accomplishment honored in the 2015 Guinness Book of World Records. He came to fame via the second Miles Davis Quintet in the mid-1960's and has remained prominent and progressing ever since. He has recorded with greats including Tommy Flanagan, Gil Evans, Lena Horne, Bill Evans, B.B. King, the Kronos Quartet, Dexter Gordon and many more.   Mass Incarceration is one of the biggest civil rights issues of our times. It's beautiful to see the jazz community, and top jazz musicians like Mr. Carter, Wynton Marsalis, Arturo O'Farrill many others, supporting music and hope for those who  are incarcerated. The time is right for Criminal Justice reform and our music has a role to play!   Please join us for this special afternoon of music, mingling and making a difference!
