Music on the Inside Salon Featuring Ron CarterSunday, October 27th4:00pm to 6:30pm

We're thrilled to kick off the MOTI Salon Season with Ron Carter, one of the great living legends in jazz. Mr. Carter and friends will regale us with their music and join the wellspring of musicians and friends like you supporting MOTI's mission of music and hope for those who are incarcerated.

Please join us for an intimate afternoon of music, wine and refreshments in the elegant living room of a New York patron of the arts.

RON CARTER is among the most original, prolific and influential bassists in jazz history, with more than 2,200 albums to his credit, an accomplishment honored in the 2015 Guinness Book of World Records. He came to fame via the second Miles Davis Quintet in the mid-1960's and has remained prominent and progressing ever since.

He has recorded with greats including Tommy Flanagan, Gil Evans, Lena Horne, Bill Evans, B.B. King, the Kronos Quartet, Dexter Gordon, Wes Montgomery, and Bobby Timmons, Jaki Byard, Eric Dolphy and Cannonball Adderley.
