Rest In Peace, Ken Franckling

The jazz world lost another of his hero: Ken Franckling passed away unexpectedly last week.Outstanding writer and photographer, dedicated husband, father and grandfather, he was loved by many and respected by all.One of the original contributing writers to Hot House Jazz magazine, we worked together for over 20 years and I always marveled at his professionalism and tremendous knowledge; enjoyed his kindness and supportive words.I will miss our monthly exchanges and bumping into him at the Newport Jazz Festival or more recently at the Sarasota Jazz Festival.Rest In Peace, dear Ken.
