REMINDER, JAZZMOBILE|Sessions' FALL PREMIERE: THE PHIL YOUNG EXPERIENCE September 13 at 7PM
Hot House Jazz Guide Announcement
PHIL YOUNG launched his career as a highly sought after drummer by the legendary “Bobby Blue Bland” at the iconic Apollo Theatre – where Young competed in the famous amateur night. He was fifteen years of age. After that chance meeting he toured with Bobby Blue Bland throughout the South; and since then, he has toured nationally and internationally with other musical greats, including Stanley Turrentine, George Benson, Lee Morgan, and Dizzy Gillespie.
Over sixty years later, Phil is a very popular band leader in his hometown, Harlem! On Wednesday he will bring the “Phil Young Experience” to the ”Jazzmobile Stage,” in the Interchurch Center for ninety minutes of non-stop music: blues, swing, and more!
Admission is FREE; but reservations are strongly suggested.CLICK HERE TO RESERVE YOUR FREE TICKETS TO THE FALL PREMIERE OF JAZZMOBILE|Sessions@ the Interchurch Center | 161 Claremont Ave. | Harlem, NY
