5th ANNIVERSARY JAZZ GALA @TRIBECA

Jazz Gala by Made In New York Jazz Competition is well known for its entertainment factor and absolutely fantastic lineup of musicians that get together once a year in New York to celebrate the most original and influential American art form JAZZ.

Madeinnyjazz Gala is one of the biggest international events in New York and it’s hosted musicians from Cuba, France, Brazil, Russia, Italy, Argentina, Israel, Armenia, France, Canada, Montenegro, Turkey, Greece, Chile, Hungary, Germany…..

ONLY ONE SHOW

Jazz trumpeter and composer Randy Brecker has helped shape the sound of jazz, R&B and rock for more than four decades. His trumpet and flugelhorn performances have graced hundreds of albums by a wide range of artists from James Taylor, Bruce Springsteen and Parliament/Funkadelic to Frank Sinatra, Steely Dan, Jaco Pastorius and Frank Zappa.

John Patitucci has been at the forefront of the jazz world for the last 30 years and active in all styles of music. He is a three-time Grammy award winner, has been nominated over fourteen times and has played on many other Grammy award-winning recordings. John has performed and/or recorded with jazz giants such as Dizzy Gillespie, Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Stan Getz, Freddie Hubbard, Roy Haynes, Wynton Marsalis, Michael Brecker and countless others and is a long time member of the Wayne Shorter Quartet.

Francisco Mela is a favorite amongst jazz's elite instrumentalists, among them, Joe Lovano, John Scofield, JoAnne Brackeen, Kenny Barron, Gary Bartz, Bobby Watson and McCoy Tyner, all of whom cite his charisma, sophistication, and life-affirming spirit as an extension of his incredible talents as a composer and drummer.
