Hot House Jazz Guide Announcement

  Marcus Miller: Electric Miles Mar 29-30, 8pm Rose Theater   

One of Miles Davis’ crucial collaborators—bassist Marcus Miller—will take audiences through an eclectic body of work, starting with the moment Davis first discovered electric piano in 1969. Throughout the show, Miller and his band, featuring keyboardist Brett Williams, trumpeters Marquis Hill and Russell Gunn, saxophonist Alex Han, guitarist Vernon Reid, and drummer Alex Bailey, will lead a wide-ranging exploration of Davis’ bold experiments with jazz, rock, funk, hip-hop, and electronic fusions that continue to resonate and inform music today.  Tickets start at $40  Tickets at jazz.org   Jazz at Lincoln Center Broadway at 60th St, 5th Floor
