Alexis Cole

Hi Friends, Well, I hope you're all staying home, making it worthwhile that I lost half my savings and all my gigs.

I'm social distancing in style with a sauna near by, which I discovered has fantastic acoustics.  I'm recording myself singing in there every night, and releasing it daily.  You're welcome to write in with requests.  You can see the videos on all my social media.  I hope you'll check them out!

Mini Concert Every Day

I hope everybody is safe and healthy and will remain that way. This is an unprecedented challenge to everyone on the planet and we all need resilience and resourcefulness going forward.

Starting this Sunday, every day at 1pm EST

I will do a live mini concert of piano music from my home.

You can see and hear the concert here:

You don't have to "be" on Facebook or sign in to anything to access the concert. Just click the image below. And if you "like" the page you will be notified each day.

Wishing you all strength and much love,

Fred

DAILY 7pm EST

Jay Leonhart

Hello All!

Tonight and every night at 7PM I will present a show on

and Facebook where I say hello, talk, and perform some of my songs. If you're on Youtube you can make requests, but I'm going to keep playing anyway,

This beats practicing all alone at home, and I dare not leave the premises.

This will happen every night at 7 until Corona V has gone away.

Drink warn liquids, take a bath or a shower and wash your hair when you come in from outside, and wash your hands a lot!

Jay

YOUR FIRST TIME HEARING ABOUT STAGEIT?

Stageit is an online venue that allows musicians to stream exclusive LIVE concerts to fans. The vibe is incredibly intimate often featuring performers playing from their homes, directly from their laptop.

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS according to the Stageit folks: Go to

click SIGNUP to set up an account and then click the GET TICKET button. You will then have an opportunity to purchase credits (which Stageit calls "Notes" ; 10 Notes = $1.00). Notes allow you to pay for tickets to see shows and to tip performers during the show. This show is "Pay What You Can," which means you can pay whatever you can afford (minimum 1 Note). Once you have Notes, they can be used for any show! It only takes a minute to set up and get your ticket but it's best to do it in advance.

Friends and Family,

As all of world's madness sinks in, I wanted to take a moment to reach out to all of you and send well wishes and some positive energy. As the spread of COVID-19 has reached pandemic levels, I have been considering the core values of music and the significance it holds during these catastrophic times. Music and art are one of the main escapes for the stresses of humanity, and I want to make sure that I am still able to provide that— so we're getting creative!

Please join me tonight alongside my regular working trio, Russell Hall and Kyle Poole, as we come together in Harlem to bring the world some music in this difficult time. We hope you'll tune in and share this with your friends! 8:30PM EST Live Streaming on my

. Tonight's concert is sponsored by The Lied Center of Kansas!

You don't have to be a Facebook member to watch the concert… just click here:

WEDNESDAYS

Jazz at Lincoln Center

Dear Jazz Fan,

As we navigate these uncertain times, it’s important to occasionally step away from the news and allow yourself time to be comforted by the hope and beauty that music provides.

While the House of Swing does its part to flatten the curve, we’re reminded of some of our most deeply held values: “find common ground with others” and “face adversity with persistent optimism.” With these ideas in mind, let’s stay connected from the comfort and safety of our own homes.

Each Wednesday, you can expect to find us in your inbox as we share new videos, podcasts, stories, and more. In addition, we have numerous digital resources that you can spend time with including our

, and

.

Thank you for being part of the jazz family. Stay safe, stay healthy, and we will see you soon.

“Although our hall may temporarily be dark to audiences, the light and love in this music will shine brightly.” — Wynton Marsalis
