While the jazz venues are closed, Hot House shares with you previously published features on living artists who are celebrating birthdays today, as well as the losses the jazz world is grieving. As we have been doing since 1982, we are committed to promoting our beloved musicians. Now more than ever, we need to keep them in mind, celebrate and support them. Enjoy the reading, share, but mostly be safe and stay healthy.
We are terribly sorry for the inaccuracies found in yesterday's birthday list.
Bill Frisell, Diane Hubka, Joe Locke and Kit McClure were born March 18, not May 18.
I have put in place a system that will hopefully avoid such errors in the future and want to apologize to our readers and the musicians mistakenly mentioned.
A big thank you to Ken Franckling for keeping an eye on our daily emails.
